This Regulation, based on the provisions of the national Law on environmental noise protection, defines detailed rules and terms for the application of noise indicators, additional noise indicators, the manner of noise measurement and methods of evaluation of specific noise indicators in the environment. This text indicates related ISO standards, noise level- indicators for day and night time, among formulas and calculation methods that shall be applied when considering certain noise levels or noise pollution in the environment. For other purposes of assessment, such as acoustic planning and noise zoning, different noise levels can be chosen (see article 7, paragraph 2, which among other include rural areas). The Annex is also part of this publication (set of technical indication sheets and methodology lists).
