The Act prescribes the standard of care owed by occupiers and landlords of premises to persons and property on the premises. The occupier of premises means person occupying or having control of land or other premises; premises includes any fixed or movable structure, including any vessel, vehicle or aircraft. The occupier has a general duty of care and nothing in this Act relieves an occupier of premises in any particular case; when premises are leased duty of care falls on the landlord.
