Recommendation to Adopt the UN/CEFACT International Standard for Communications between the NEAFC Secretariat and Fisheries Monitoring Centres (Rec. 16:2018).

The Recommendation provides that the international standard UN/CEFACT “Fisheries Language for Universal Exchange” shall be implemented as the format for electronic communications between FMCs and NEAFC Secretariat no later than June 2019 for the purpose of reporting catches and fishing effort and transhipments as appropriate, pursuant to NEAFC Scheme Chapter III - Monitoring of Fisheries as amended for ERS.
