The Chief Executive exercises the powers conferred by Article 50 of the Basic Law of the Macao Special Administrative Region and issues this instruction in accordance with the provisions of Article 5, Paragraph 1 (3) of the Foreign Trade Law No. 7/2003. Starting from August 24, 2023, it is prohibited to import fresh food, animal derived food, sea salt, and seaweed from ten prefectures, including: Fukushima Prefecture, Chiba Prefecture, Tochigi Prefecture, Ibaraki Prefecture, Gunma Prefecture, Miyagi Prefecture, etc., into Macao Special Administrative Region.
