This Agreement has been developed to implement agreed (coordinated) agro-industrial policy and regulates selection and breeding work with farm animals in Member States. In order to apply uniform requirements in the field of production breeding products in the Member States during selection and breeding work, the Member States carry out in accordance with this Agreement, unification of the conduct testing of created new types, lines (breeds) and crosses of farm animals, conducting molecular genetic expertise of breeding products, breed determination of breeding animals obtained by using related breeds, as well as assessment of breeding value. The procedure for testing created new types and lines (breeds) and crosses of farm animals, the procedure for carrying out molecular genetic examination of breeding products, the methodology for determining the breed of breeding animals, obtained using related breeds, as well as techniques for breeding value assessments shall be approved by the Eurasian Economic Commission. Member States shall ensure the organization of exchange of information about breeding animals and breeding achievements, including electronic form. Composition of information to be exchanged and the procedure for such exchange shall be approved by the Eurasian Economic Commission.
