The Conservation Measure 41-10 for the 2023 season focuses on regulating the exploratory fishery for Dissostichus mawsoni in Statistical Subarea 88.2. The total catch of Dissostichus mawsoni is restricted by precautionary catch limits applied to different SSRUs and research blocks within the area. The season for the exploratory longline fishery is defined from December 1, 2023, to August 31, 2024, with specific dates for SSRU H. Vessels participating in the fishery must adhere to Conservation Measure 41-01 provisions, except for paragraph 6. Data collection is a crucial aspect of this Conservation Measure, with requirements for daily and monthly catch and effort reporting systems, as well as fine-scale biological data collection following the CCAMLR Scheme of International Scientific Observation. Environmental protection measures are also in place, with specific conservation measures applying to ensure the protection of the marine environment. Vessels are subject to regulations regarding seabird interactions, observer presence, Vessel Monitoring Systems (VMS) operation, and participation in the Catch Documentation Scheme for Dissostichus spp.
