The present Act lays down the discipline of Consumer protection in Nunavut; Part 1, disclosure of cost of borrowing, applies to every retail sale of goods or services or goods and services on credit in which there is any cost of borrowing payable by the buyer except (a) a sale made on variable credit; and (b) a sale in which the cost of borrowing does not exceed $10. Part III regulates relief against forfeiture and acceleration; Part IV time sales; Part VII direct sales contracts; Part IX licensing of vendors;
