The Decree-Law adopts complementary measures to combat spongiform encephalopathy in the field of animal feed. It consists of 22 articles and 15 Annexes establishing provisions to be applied on animal feedstuff for the prevention and control of the aforesaid animal disease. It regulates animal feed standards, production, use and trade within the territory of the Republic of Portugal.
