This Legislative Decree establishing the Madeira Institute for Wine, Embroidery and Handicrafts (IVBAM IP-RAM) (Instituto do Vinho, do Bordado e do Artesanato da Madeira, IP-RAM). IVBAM IP-RAM is part of the indirect administration of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, endowed with legal personality, administrative and financial autonomy. IVBAM, IP-RAM carries out its activities under the supervision of the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Natural Resources. IVBAM IP-RAM's mission is to define, coordinate and implement the policy for the enhancement and preservation of vines, wine, spirits, handicrafts, embroidery and tapestries produced in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, as well as the policy for promoting and advertising these products and other traditional and agri-food products produced in the region.
