The present Decree sets out contains provisions on the conditions for granting and disbursing business support for the processing and marketing of agricultural products as referred to in Section 20 of Act (2023:17) on Financing of Rural Industries, as well as procedures related to this. Investment support may be granted to micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises as well as large companies, as defined in the Commission's Recommendation 2003/361/EC, that engage in the processing and marketing of agricultural products, for investments that develop the company's operations in a profitable and purposeful manner. Support may also be provided for costs of development and expert services procured by the company. The investment should relate to production expansion, new product development, new technology, or improving the company’s energy and environmental efficiency.
