This Law regulates the types of geological research, the conditions and manner of conducting geological research of mineral and other geological resources, as well as geological research for the purpose of preparing spatial planning documents, designing, constructing facilities, remediation and reclamation of terrain, preparation and revision of geological research programs and projects, expert examination, exploration area, preparation and revision of reports on reserves and reports on conducted exploration, cadastre of exploration areas, Geological Information System, Expert Documentation Fund, Bank of Exploration Well Cores and other issues related to the field of geological research. The principal aim of this Law is to stimulate the economic development of the Republika Srpska by creating a stimulating legal framework for investments in the field of geological research, while respecting regulations related to environmental protection. Inspection and supervision provisions are provided in Chapter III. Penalty provision are determined in Chapter IV.
