This Resolution urges both contracting and cooperating non-contracting parties to actively promote and support the development of a regional climate change adaptation plan for aquaculture in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea, in line with the GFCM 2030 Strategy. The regional climate change adaptation plan should integrate expert knowledge and use advanced technologies for climate forecasting and early warning systems. Additionally, it should address emerging diseases and associated risks. To ensure the sustainability of designated aquaculture zones, the regional climate change adaptation plan should include periodic assessments and revisions. These updates should reflect changing climate conditions and their effects on various species and aquaculture infrastructure.
