The Conservation Measure 23-01 (2024), outlines a mandatory five-day catch and effort reporting system for all species, areas, seasons, and fishing gears under the authority of the Commission. It divides each month into six reporting periods (A–F) and requires Contracting Parties to collect and submit aggregated catch and effort data from their vessels by species and gear type (including hooks or pots used) within two days after each period ends. Even if no catch is recorded, reports must still be submitted. The Executive Secretary is responsible for notifying Contracting Parties of cumulative catch data, estimating when the total allowable catch will be reached, and initiating fishery closures if necessary. Non-compliance in reporting may lead to enforced cessation of fishing activities by the responsible vessel. The text consists of 8 Articles.
