This Decision on the permissible level of sludge, spoilage, damage and breakage in mariculture determines, based on professional experience, the maximum permissible level of deficit in mariculture that is not subject to taxation. Shortages, within the meaning of this Decision, are understood to mean total losses in products that occur during the usual handling of fish and shellfish in farming or as a result of disease and other natural influences on fish, shellfish and raw materials in trade, business, production and storage, and as a result of the technological process in the production and processing of raw materials and goods. The permissible norm of total losses is determined based on professional experience up to amounts that are given in article 4.
