Law No. 7.679 establishing guidelines for ensuring that farm-origin products purchased and consumed in state government agencies originate from Amazonian producers.

This Law establishes the Guidelines for ensuring that farm-sourced products purchased and consumed by state government agencies primarily come from producers in the State of Amazonas. The objectives of this Law are: I – to encourage local and regional food production; II – to strengthen the rural economy and agroecological family farming; III – to ensure food and nutritional security with quality products of known origin; and IV – to promote the sustainable development of the state's rural communities.
