ICCAT has set up a Working Group (WG) to assess the feasibility of expanding its electronic Catch Documentation Scheme (CDS) to more species. Meeting at least once annually in 2022–2023, preferably alongside the Intersessional Monitoring Meeting (IMM) Working Group, it will address species coverage, technical and practical challenges, use of the electronic Bluefin Catch Document (eBCD) system, support for developing CPCs, avoiding duplication, and ensuring compatibility with other tuna RFMOs. The WG will report progress yearly, and by 2023 the Commission will decide whether to expand the CDS.
