The International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT) has established a Standing Catch Document Scheme Working Group (CDS WG), replacing the electronic Bluefin Catch Document (eBCD) Technical Working Group and overseeing its improvements. Open to all Contracting Parties to the Commission (CPCs) and accredited observers, the CDS WG will determine which species and products should be covered, address technical and practical challenges, support capacity-building for developing CPCs, and ensure compatibility with other tuna Regional Fisheries Management Organizations (RFMOs). From 2024 to 2026, it will meet at least once a year, preferably alongside the Intersessional Monitoring Meeting (IMM) Working Group, and will aim to submit a draft recommendation on any expanded CDS to the ICCAT Commission by 2026.
