Act No. 4 on the construction, maintenance, and operation, etc., of the Home Rule’s port facilities.

This Act (Landstingsforordning in Danish) establishes the legal framework for managing Greenland’s government-owned ports. It applies to official ports used for freight, fisheries, and passenger traffic, but excludes leisure, defense, and fuel facility ports. Its purpose is to ensure that ports are properly planned, expanded, maintained, and administered to best serve their primary functions. The Landsstyre (Greenland Government) is empowered to issue administrative rules, set usage fees, and define port authority responsibilities. Violations of these rules may lead to fines.
