The present Regulation establishes a subsidy scheme to promote energy efficiency in single-family houses, particularly those heated by electricity or gas. It provides financial support — covering up to 50% of material costs (subject to caps) — for measures such as installing more efficient heating systems (e.g. heat pumps, district heating, or biofuel systems) and improving building insulation, windows, and airtightness. Eligibility is limited to homeowners who reside in the property, and stricter conditions apply to ensure energy performance and prevent misuse. The scheme is administered by regional authorities, with applications, reporting, and oversight mechanisms in place, and includes provisions for repayment if funds are improperly obtained.
