This Executive Order regulates Denmark’s vocational education and training programme for sausage-casing technicians, which prepares students and apprentices to sort, clean and further process livestock intestines manually and using machinery. The three-year programme leads to a level 3 qualification and sets out the duration of its basic and main courses, admission requirements, required subjects and certificates, recognition of prior learning, and the competency objectives for the main course. It concludes with a journeyman’s examination administered by the relevant trade committee, with rules on resits, minimum grades, certification and appeals. The Order preserves the previous rules for students who began the programme before that date, subject to transitional arrangements.
