This Order supplements EU requirements concerning records and statistical reporting on the professional use of plant protection products. Professional users must maintain a spray journal for at least three years, recording matters such as the product used, date, dose, treated area and crop, together with specified business and location information; paper records must generally be converted into an electronic format, subject to transitional annual-conversion arrangements. Agricultural holdings with at least 10 hectares of crops and horticultural businesses meeting the prescribed turnover threshold must report pesticide use digitally to the Danish Environmental Protection Agency, normally by 31 March following each planning period, with the required level of detail varying according to the crop and production system. The Order also regulates supervision, exemptions, administrative appeals and fines for non-compliance. It contains transitional provisions for earlier reporting periods and certain new identification requirements.
