Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1894 providing for emergency financial support for the farmers affected by specific problems impacting on their economic viability arising from the Middle East crisis.

This Regulation provides for Union financial aid to Member States to support farmers engaged in crop and livestock production who have been adversely affected by the economic consequences of the Middle East crisis, particularly increased fertiliser and energy costs. It requires support measures to target the most affected farmers on the basis of objective and non-discriminatory criteria, while avoiding market distortions and overcompensation. The Regulation also permits Member States to grant additional national support of up to 200% of their allocated Union aid, subject to the same conditions. Furthermore, it establishes eligibility deadlines for payments, allows the cumulation of support with other agricultural funding instruments, and requires Member States to take account of other public or private compensation schemes when determining aid levels.
