The Regulation further addresses the rehabilitation and classification of distressed industries, contract manufacturing, industrial and investment promotion funds, corporate social responsibility and industrial security. Its sectoral coverage is extensive, encompassing agriculture and forestry-based industries, food production and processing, livestock and poultry, dairy production, fisheries and aquaculture, seeds, forestry, energy, mining, infrastructure, tourism, information and communication technologies, manufacturing and services. It also contains environmental safeguards, requiring applicable environmental studies and mitigation measures, and covers pollution control, wastewater treatment, waste management and alternative energy. The Regulation was published on 21 Chaitra 2078 B.S., provides for immediate commencement, and expressly repeals the Industrial Enterprises Regulation, 2076, while preserving actions taken under the repealed Regulation.
