This Order regulates fishing activity into Amazonas and Pará rivers' estuaries. It consists of 11 articles establishing the requirements to be satisfied for obtaining a fishing licence in the aforementioned areas and prohibiting the capture of 'Brachyplatystoma vaillanti' below the prescribed sizes. It also establishes the maximum quantity of fishing vessels as well as the total allowable catch of fish by trawlnets in these areas (including the minimum mesh to be used, taxes to be paid, prohibited fishing gear, etc). It prescribes controls to be carried out by Sudepe and sanctions to be paid by offenders in compliance with Decree-Law No. 221 of 28 february 1967.
