Decree relative compensations paid in advance for damages caused to fishing gear by foreign fishing vessels or warships of NATO countries (No. 111 of 1988).

The Department of Fisheries shall, on request of the applicant, advance payments for the compensation of damages to fishing gear of identified vessels caused by foreign trawling vessels and warships. Damages shall not be compensated in the following cases: damages to purse seine; damage to floating nets except if caused by identified warships of a NATO country; if gear has not been properly marked; if gear has been set out on trawling grounds.
