Due to the outbreak of avian influenza in poultry which has been reported, Member States shall prohibit the importation from the territory of Thailand of fresh meat of poultry, ratites, farmed and wild feathered game, poultry meat products and meat preparations consisting or containing meat of the species above-mentioned, as well as of eggs for human consumption. As an exemption, Member States may authorize the importation of poultrymeat products if the meat contained has been subjected to a specific treatment referred to under B, C or D in part IV of the Annex attached to Decision 97/222/EC.
