This Ministerial Decree establishes that the State forest register shall be integral part of the state registration system and it shall be kept by the authorized forest institution. The State forest register contains data on the legal status of forest estate, distribution thereof among forest owners, qualitative and quantitative state of forests and distribution thereof by categories. Owners of private forest shall submit data thereon required for recording in the State forest register. The State forest register shall be interrelated with the state land cadastre. Data on the plots of forest land shall be taken over from the state land cadastre. Forest monitoring shall be structured on three levels: (a) national; (b) regional; and (c) local. Forest monitoring shall include: (a) systematic observations; (b) assessment of forest resources; and (c) forecast of the state of forests for a given period of time.
