This Act amends the Meghalaya Cooperative Societies Act, 1950. Amendments have been made to various sections of the Act which, among other things, deal with: societies which may be registered; amendment of byelaws of a registered society; division and amalgamation of societies; annual meetings of the assembly of a registered society; records of societies; property and funds of registered societies; audit; inquiry and inspection costs; settlement of disputes; penalties; etc.
