This Law determines the principles of operation and management procedures for the Free Port of Riga in order to promote the participation of Latvia in international trade, attract investments, develop manufacturing and services, as well as create new jobs. This Law further provides for management organisation of the free port; customs regime in the free port; and commercial activity in the free port.
