The present Act lays down provisions relating to the implementation of Community Laws dealing with consumer protection. Article 2 establishes that one of the competent authorities is the Federal Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety. The text consists of 28 articles divided into 5 Parts as follows: General provisions (1); Implementation of Community Laws protecting consumer interests (2); Penalties, enforcement, costs (3); Adaptation to Community Law (4); Legal aid for administrative measures (5).
