The law amends several provisions of Legislative Decree No. 243/1969 regarding the improvement and protection of wine production. More specifically, articles 4 (paragraph 2), 5 (paragraphs 2, 8, 9, 13, 14 and 16) are amended, articles 18 and 19 are added and articles 7 (paragraph 5), 14, 15, 16 and 17 are replaced. The amendments regard the requirements and terms of using a toponymy as trade-mark for wines and matters relating to the production, control and protection of wines bearing the geographical indication and designation of origin.
