The Decree provides for the issuance of the National Catalogue of cultivated plants, fruit-trees, shrub trees and other small fruit plants. The General Technical Regulation of Acceptance establishes the general conditions, administrative procedures and technical requirements for the registration into or the cancellation of cultivars from the Catalogue. The official examinations of cultivars and the characteristics to be covered as a minimum are laid down in the Special Technical Regulations of Acceptance for each plant variety.
