These Measures regulate the qualification accreditation of food inspection agencies, strengthen the supervision and administration on food inspection agencies, and improve the technical capacity and management level of food inspection agencies. The Measures set out conditions and procedures that food inspection agencies must abide to in order to obtain qualification accreditation. The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine shall uniformly supervise and administer the relevant inspection activities of food inspection agencies, and the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China shall be responsible for the implementation, supervision, administration and comprehensive coordination of the qualification accreditation of food inspection agencies.
