These Rules apply to giant crab fishery. The Rules provide for: persons authorized to take or posses giant crab in State waters if holding a fishing licence; closed and opened seasons for giant crab fishery; limits on the taking and possessing of giant crab and size limits; restrictions on the setting, use and possession of traps; restrictions and requirements relating to fish caufs and holding tanks; reporting and tracking; etc. The Rules also address commercial giant crab fishery by providing for total allowable catch, fishing quota units, commercial fishing licences, and unloading, sale transfer and transportation controls.
