This Ministerial Decree establishes requirements for collection, treatment, transportation, storage and disposal of medical waste. Medical waste shall be classified as hazardous waste and non-hazardous waste. Collection, temporary storage and transportation of medical waste shall be carried out in accordance with the following scheme: (a) accounting of qualitative and quantitative composition of medical waste formation; (b) rules for collection of medical waste; (c) treatment (decontamination) and removal of waste; and (d) hygienic training of staff.
