This Ministerial Decree establishes the modalities of economic assessment of environmental damages caused by pollution. Economic assessment of environmental damages caused by pollution shall be established by the officials in the sphere of environmental protection in case of identification of environmental offences in the process of state environmental audit. Economic assessment of environmental damages shall be established either directly or indirectly depending upon the possibility of total or partial compensation of damages by means of rehabilitation. This Ministerial Decree contains calculation formulae for atmospheric pollution by stationary and non-stationary sources, disposal of radioactive waste and sources of ionizing radiation and marine pollution by oil spills.
