Due to exhaustion of the allocated fishing quota, fishing activities in category 9 (pelagic freezer trawlers) in the Mauritanian Economic Zone by vessels flying the flag of a Member State of the European Union is prohibited as from midnight on 23 April 2012. It is prohibited to retain on board, relocate, tranship or land fish caught by those vessels after that date.
