These Regulations implement the Waterways Conservation Act 1976. The Regulations provide for: types of matters to be taken as falling within section 5(3) of the Act; procedures for establishing management programmes in relation to an area; general offences; applications for, and issue of, licences; inspector’s and honorary warden’s certificates of appointment; penalties; etc.
