The Decision lays out a phased action plan for the genetically modified organisms (GMO) aiming at harmonizing the Albanian legislation with the EU acqui communautaire. Measures include the analysis of the pertinent EU legislation and the revision of the Albanian legal framework accordingly. The laws to be amended include but are not limited with the Food Law, the Environment Law, the Education Law, the Public Health Law, and the Law on Consumer Protection.
