This Regional Decree regulates the issues of artisanal and sport fishing, fishing periods, authorized fishing gear and fishing methods, and also the issues of conservation and rational management of aquatic biological resources and natural habitats thereof. It shall be applicable to all fishery waterbodies. Artisanal and sport fishing shall be authorized for natural persons free of charge in all waterbodies if not otherwise envisaged by acting legislation and by this Regulation. Persons carrying out artisanal and sport fishing can form fishing associations. This Regional Decree lists authorized fishing gear and sets forth daily catch quotas per person. Artisanal and sport fishing of some particularly precious fish species can be carried out in accordance with fishing licences issued for payment. Fishing licences shall be non-transferable. Acclimatization, stock enhancement and fishfarming without prior authorization by fishing inspection shall be prohibited.
