Ministerial Decree No. 700 validating the Regulation on introduction and re-introduction of animals.

This Ministerial Decree establishes that the grounds for introduction of wild fauna species outside their traditional areas of habitat shall be the necessity of deliberate or casual proliferation of wild fauna species in new habitats for the following purposes: (a) amplification of species; (b) introduction of new species to local fauna; and (c) use of beneficial properties of species. The grounds for re-introduction of wild fauna species shall be as follows: (a) return of species that in the past populated a given area; (b) restoration of the number of species; and (c) improvement of reproduction. Introduction and re-introduction of wild fauna species shall be performed in accordance with authorization issued by the competent state wild fauna management institution.
