This Ministerial Decree establishes that State Veterinary Department under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Agriculture shall be authorized state institution of the state veterinary service. The Department shall carry out the following tasks: (a) guidance of veterinary and improvement thereof at the national level; (b) state veterinary supervision over compliance with veterinary requirements set forth for keeping and management of agricultural animals (livestock), manufacturing of animal feed, processing, storage, transportation and trade thereof; (c) veterinary and sanitary arrangements in case of the outbreak of animal diseases; (d) protection of the national territory against introduction of quarantine objects and infectious animal diseases; and (e) veterinary and sanitary expertise of the products of animal origin.
