The purpose of the present Law is to ensure that monuments and architectural valuable areas of the Canton Basel-Stadt and its communities shall be preserved, secured and protected as part of the cultural heritage. The text consists of 35 articles divided into 7 Parts as follows: Organization (I); Cultural heritage preservation (II); Special protection classes (III); Execution of the Law (IV); Legal remedies (V); Rights and obligations of municipalities (VI); Final provisions (VII).
