The present Ordinance implements the Maritime Navigation Act (BGBl. No. 174/1981). In particular, the Ordinance lays down detailed provisions relating to maritime navigation by Austrian sea-going vessels. The text consists of 209 articles divided into 8 Parts as follows: General provisions (A); Additional provisions for ships to which the Ship Safety Treaty applies (B); Provisions for ships to which the Ship Safety Treaty does not apply (C); Provisions on freeboard (D); Omissis (E); Localities and article of personal need of the crew (F); Provisions on kitchens and utility rooms, provisioning and catering (G); Employee protection (H).
