This Regulation prescribes the specific security requirements to be met by active and intelligent materials and products that come into contact with foodstuff (here defined as specific group of materials that are in contact with food). This Regulation is aligned with Council Directives related to the subject here defined. The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
