This Regional Decree establishes that regional state nature reserve “Vesennij” shall be regional protected area set up with a view of conservation of natural ecosystems. It shall perform the following tasks: (a) protection of skerry landscapes of the Baltic Sea (the Gulf of Finland area); (b) protection of broad-leaved old-age oak, lime-tree and maple forests; (c) protection and conservation migratory routes of waterfowl; (d) protection and conservation of rare and endangered wild fauna species and natural habitats thereof and (e) conservation of biological diversity.
