These Regulations are formulated pursuant to Paragraph 1, Article 25 of the Nuclear Material and Radioactive Waste Management Act. According to the Act, unless approved by the competent authorities, the radioactive waste shall not be imported, exported, transited, transhipped en route, carried, discarded, or assigned. These Regulations provide for documents required, review and approval procedures and other matter to be complies with for an application for the permit of import, export, transit, transship, transport, discard, and assignment of low level radioactive waste.
