Both Parties agreed to promote scientific and technological, economic and trade cooperation in agriculture and related fields in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations of the two countries. Cooperative areas may include plant and animal sciences, food processing, crop technology, irrigation and water resources management, waste treatment, organic agriculture, and agricultural mechanization. Enterprises of both countries will cooperate in the processing and assembly of agricultural machinery. China will encourage financial institutions to provide preferential credit arrangements based on contracts signed by Chinese and Philippine enterprises.
