These Code are enacted to implement the registration of eel farms and assist the development of eel aquaculture sector. The registration operation of eel farms shall be handled by the Taiwan Eel Development Foundation. Before the Foundation handles the registration of eel farms, relevant self-regulation measures shall be formulated and submit to the Council of Agriculture for reference. The Council of Agriculture shall send staff to visit eel farms from time to time.
