This Law prohibits the capture, loading, transport, marketing, processing and industrialization of the freshwater fish species Salminus brasiliensis or Salminus maxillosus (Golden dorado). This prohibition is valid for a period of eight years within the State of Paraná, except for the catch and release. Without prejudice to other provisions established by federal law, noncompliance with this Law subjects the offenders to the following penalties: a fine of ten times the Standard Fiscal Unit of Paraná at one thousand times the Standard Fiscal Unit of Paraná; seizure of the fishery product or by-product; total or partial prohibition of establishment, activity or undertaking; suspension of license, authorization and registration; revoking of license, authorization and registration in case of recidivism.
